About Clara
Editor of the guides on homecraftblog.com.
I'm Clara, and I edit the guides on Home Craft Blog. They are about how a room gets decided rather than how it looks: which rug fiber survives a hallway, how many lumens a north-facing room needs, what a living room refresh costs line by line.
What I care about
The number behind the advice. When a guide says 30 inches or 400 CFM, I want to know where that figure comes from, so each one links to the manufacturer sheet, code section or study behind it, and you can check it yourself. When two sources disagree, the guide says so instead of quietly picking the convenient one.
I would rather a guide be plain and right than long and impressive. I cut sentences that only sound helpful, and I keep reworking a section or a diagram until the numbers and the words agree.
How the guides are made
Guides are drafted with AI. I read and review every guide and I edit and correct anything wrong: facts, writing, measurements, product names, images.
There is no test lab here, so guides compare published specifications and documentation, and say so. The room images are generated illustrations; the diagrams are drawn from the measurements in the text. The full rules are in the editorial policy.
Found an error?
Email contact@homecraftblog.com and point at the sentence, and I'll correct the guide. The daily decorating ideas on blog.homecraftblog.com are edited separately, by Maya.
