Cookie policy
Effective August 8, 2026. This policy covers homecraftblog.com.
What this site sets today
We set no cookies of our own. This site is a set of static files. There is no login, no shopping basket, no personalization and no analytics platform, so there is nothing for a first-party cookie to remember. You can browse every guide here with cookies fully disabled and nothing will break.
Cookies a third party may set
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| __cf_bm | Cloudflare, our host | Distinguishes human visitors from automated traffic so the site can be served and protected. Strictly necessary. | About 30 minutes |
| cf_clearance | Cloudflare, our host | Records that a security challenge was passed, so you are not challenged repeatedly. Only set if a challenge is shown. Strictly necessary. | Up to 1 year |
These are security cookies placed by our infrastructure provider, not tracking cookies, and they are not used to build a profile of you. See the Cloudflare cookie reference for detail.
The contact form
The contact form posts directly to our form provider when you submit it. It does not set a cookie, and nothing is stored in your browser if you start typing and change your mind.
Advertising cookies
Status as of August 8, 2026: this site carries display advertising served by Google AdSense.
Google and its advertising partners may set cookies or read similar identifiers in order to measure ad performance and, where permitted, to personalize the ads you see. Google publishes the current list of these cookies and the purpose of each; we link to it rather than copy it here, because the list changes on Google's schedule and a stale copy would be worse than none:
- How Google uses cookies in advertising, and the Google advertising privacy overview.
- Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown a consent notice before any non-essential identifier is set, and can refuse it or change their mind later.
- Personalized advertising can be turned off at any time in Google Ads Settings, regardless of where you live.
Controlling cookies yourself
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, either for all sites or per site, in its privacy or content settings. Because this site needs no cookies to function, blocking them here costs you nothing. Blocking the Cloudflare security cookies may occasionally mean you see a security check more often.
